I dragged my mom along with me since she loved Charmed too and I didn't want to walk around there by myself (after she left I had my cousin Jeremy come meet me so I still wouldn't be there only by myself).
I love dressing up as much as the next person (maybe a little more thanks to theater background) but the costumes that were seen here go beyond the simplicity of "playing dress up" people put months of work into their costumes! Other "cosplayers" admire and respect the costumes that their fellow attendees have put on. Everyone wants to take pictures with people who have the best costumes. I don't think I will ever fully understand the allure of cosplay but I can respect the hard work put into it! I do have a soft spot for anything X-men so of course I ogled at all of those costumes. There was a great Rogue and Gambit that both my cousin and I awed over…so much so that he actually had to go over there and tell them how great their costumes were!
I had been looking forward to seeing Evan Peters as well because I love America Horror Story…but even before that I remember Evan from when he was a young teenager playing a dumb skater boy in the movie SleepOver. Sadly due to scheduling conflicts he had to cancel his appearance. :-(
Also I was secretly hoping to catch a glimpse of the blue abyss that is Nash Griers eyes but for some reason him and his brother were over 45 min late and I got tired of waiting…but that is neither here nor there.
I know I am missing out on mentioning a huge part of the convention which are the artist and I apologize for that! I don't know much on that topic so I decided its better to just bow out gracefully on blogging about the artists.
My most favorite part though was getting to see SL since she was in town and spending a few moments with her!!! Until we reunite again!
