RM's Pick: GOJO® NATURAL* ORANGE™ Pumice Hand Cleaner
Today I was helping my mom fix the chain on her garage. After getting nice and greasy, I go to wash my hands with a cleaner called GOJO® NATURAL* ORANGE™ Pumice Hand Cleaner. If you know anyone who works with automative or tinkering you have probably seen this orange bottle because it cuts through grease and dirt and is amazing because it has pumice stone in it! My hands felt so soft after using this product and immediately I though it wasn't too harsh and began to wonder if it would work on my face? After all it also has aloe and jojoba oil in it.
When I used it on my face it felt like I was using another one of my facial exfoliators. It was not too harsh for me as I don't have very sensitive skin. I rinsed and my skin felt like a baby's butt! The areas where I scrubbed harder (like nose where I have blackheads, blah) were a little red afterwards, naturally. Exfoliating is not something that should be done daily but more maybe 2-3 times a week.
The part that I am most excited about is the price. For example, I can purchase a GALLON for only $20. I can't even imagine how long that would last! Thankfully they do sell them in smaller sizes like 14oz etc. I will definitely try to work this into my skin routine and see how it works with a more frequent use. But I believe that this is one of those multi use items that people don't think about and is much cheaper then the branded facial ones. Feel free to go ahead and exfoliate your whole body! Especially in the winter time when people tend to have ashy elbows and knees and just try skin in general! Don't forget to moisturize afterwards! Also, just like the made for face ones try to avoid getting it in your eye says the label.
Do you have any experience using it on your face? Good or Bad?
P.P.S. If you don't want to buy anything and use completely natural ingredients…A little bit of baking soda and water will do the trick! It will exfoliate your skin very nicely. Try combining with maybe a lotion too and then rinsing?
SL's Pick: European Wax Center's The Exfoliate
It retails for $38 dollars for 2 oz and can be purchased in store or online. You take a little bit of the mixture and spread it out on the area of your skin you want to exfoliate. Your skin should be dry for this. Gently rub your fingers in a circle motion. Then the Exfoliate will activate and your dead skin will bead up into little balls. Once you are done, rinse and dry off. It is like magic! And I am someone who likes to see results right away, so it makes it more fun.
This exfoliator will work on any part of your body. Like RM, I don't have super sensitive skin, but this product works well for people that do.
Here is what is in it:
- papaya and pineapple enzymes (instead of harsh scrubs and chemicals)
- an exclusive comfort blend of antioxidants, aloe vera, vitamins C,A, E+
- a dose of TLC to ensure your skin glows
Enjoy your journey to happy, healthy skin!
